📰 ELAR moves to Berlin with a new grant

Well, this is a huge deal:

Arcadia renews ELDP funding for ten years with 21 million Euro

The Endangered Languages Documentation Programme (ELDP) has been renewed for ten years with a 21 million Euro grant from Arcadia. With this generous renewal, ELDP together with the Endangered Languages Archive (ELAR) will continue supporting the documentation and preservation of endangered languages around the globe. This new chapter in ELDP and ELAR’s now almost 20 year history will take place at the Berlin Brandenburgische Akademie der Wissenschaften (BBAW) in Berlin, Germany.

Holy :cow2:, 21 million euros! Congratulations to ELDP and ELAR!

Me, a person who cares about the whole field: This is amazing, so excited they have another decade of support! :tada:
Me, a person with an archive with ELAR that I’m not adding to at the moment: I hope they don’t expect anything from me when they move the archive to another university :sob::sweat_smile:
