This is cool! I had come across this Stanford initiative in connection with my interest in type design, but didn’t know they’re also producing software relevant for language documentation!
I went to the demo. I don’t know how relevant it is to language documentation strictly speaking but definitely for language maintenance and technological support, like type design. I learned about the Unicode CLDR Project which I feel like could be a good community activity or undergraduate project…
I know people at Unicode working on the CLDR project (basically translating your operating system be it computer, phone, etc. to another language so all the menus, settings, etc. are in your language).
Feel free to ping me if anyone has a need for their community, and I can make an introduction!
