"Stories from the Heart" - talks by grassroots revitalization practitioners

Hi all! This is an invitation to join ELP for a new monthly talk series “Stories from the Heart: Community Language Projects from Ready to Revitalize”. Registration is free: Meeting Registration - Zoom

There’s also a flyer you’re welcome to circulate to your students and colleagues.

The first event is April 15 at 9am Pacific, and will feature Gibrilla Kamara (Society for Indigenous Languages, Cultures and Communities of Sierra Leone) discussing his work to revitalize the Limba and critically endangered Mani languages, and how it dovetails with work to protect sacred forests.

Each following month through March 2027, on or near the 15th of the month, different language champions around the world will share about their language revitalization work in their community.

These are informal, accessible talks meant to share the real stories of people doing this work - hope to see you there!

Join us to hear real-life stories of language revitalization around the world!

Each month from April 2026 through March 2027, different Ready to Revitalize alumni around the world will be sharing about the programs they’ve developed to strengthen their languages.

Join us as we listen to these language champions tell their stories from the heart about their work in their communities.
